LONDON WOOL SALES. By -Electric Telegraph—Per Press Association—Copyright. London, Feb. 11. “ Wool : The Bradford market is restricted. Common 60’s 23$d, supers 24Jd, 46’s 15d to 16d. Bather les3 demand. Colonial butter : Choicest New Zealand 102 s, Australian 100 s to 102 s, secondaries 96s to 98s ; Danish, firm, 110 s. The Turakina’s shipment was excellent. Cheese : Prices firm and unaltered.
Wheat : English markets are firmer owing to bad weather reports from India and tUe attempted revolution in Argentina. Tho Continental markets are quiet, the American fluctuating above the European level. Australian wheat on spot nominal 34s 93.

The Department of Industries and Commerce has received the following cablegram from the Agent-General, dated London, February 11th: —Tho mutton market is quiet. The demand for all qualities is dull. Holders of Biver Plate mutton aro pushing sales very strongly. This has a depressing effect upon the demand for New Zealand meat. The average price to day of Canterbury mutton, light weights, which are scarce, is 4 3-8, heavy weights 4d, Dunodiu, Southland and Wellington Meat Export Company’s brands 4d, and other brands of North Island mutton 3Jd. The average price to-day of Australian mutton is 3d, Biver Plate SJd. The present tondoncy of the mutton mar. ket seems to be tow.ards a decline in price. The lamb market is steady. There is a better domand for better grades of New Zealand lamb at 6d per lb. The average price of New Zealand lamb is from 4Jd to sd, Biver Plate 453. The beef market is very dull. The average price today of hindquarters of New Zealand beef is 3Jd, forequarters 2Jd. The stocks of New Zealand beef on hand are light. The butter market is very firm. There is a good demand. The average price of finest New Zealand oheese to-day is 52s per owt. The hemp market is quiet, with a tendency in favor of buyers. The price of New Zealand hemp, good fair Wellington grade, on spot, to-day is £3l per ton, February to April shipment £3O 10s. Tho wool market is quiot. Manufacturers aro disinclined to operate at present prices. The demand for fine wool iB steady, but medium and coarse are dull.
