(Per Press Association.) Christchurch, last night.

White, who pleaded guilty to daylight robbery and several charges of breakiog and entering, ,W aß to-day sentenced to eight years’ imprisonment by Judge Chapman. Philip White, who pleaded guilty in the Lower Court to a charge of robbery with violence from White’s joweljer's shop, shooting with intent, and three charges of burglary, appeared for sentence before Judge Chapman to day. Accused was sentenced to eight years for robbery, eight years for shooting, and five years on each of two charges of burglary, and three years for the third, the sentences to bo concurrent. The Judge warmly complimented Detectives Bishop and Ward for the manner in which they arrested accused. Napier, last night. The following prisoners were dealt with in the Supremo Court to-day:—Peter Bartlett, for sheep-stealing, was sentenced to 12 months’ probation and ordered to pay £'s and oosts. Hopa Karangaroa, breaking, entering and theft,was sentenced to 12 months’ probation, no order being modo as to coats. James Palmer and Harry Robinson, for breaking and entering, were sontenced to 18 months’ gaol ; Takopa Timihanga, for horse stealing, 12 monthe. Walter Hasler pleaded guilty to two charges of indecent assault, and Frank Voss entered a similar plea to breaking and entering, theft, and placing dynamite in a shop with intent to damage property. They were remanded for sentence.
