(Her Press Association.) Wellington, last night. David Barry, aged 35, a cook on the coasting steamer Manaroa, and William Matthews, A. 8., aged 25, had an altercation to-night on the ‘ wharf. Barry attacked Matthews with a cleaver, inflicting a wound on the head, and injured several ribs. Matthews was removed to the hospital and Barry was taken into custody. . , .... At a meeting of the committee of the Cricket. Association to-night it was decided to play fifteen men against the Aus. tralians.
