TRAM ACCIDENT

BUS COLLIDES WITH CAR.

ONE PASSENGER KILLED AND SEVERAL INJURED.

(Per Press Association.) Auckland, last night. A fatal team accident occurred to-night in Symonds street. A bus and a tram were both on tho way to town, when one of the bus horses swerved across the tram line. The tram dashed into the vehicle, and almost smashed it to pieces, the horses being carried about 40 yards along tho line. Several of the passengers on the bus were badly injured, and one woman, Mrs ■ Fostor, of Ponsonfcy, had her skull fractured, and died shortly afterwards.
