By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright London, Feb. 8. Nine thousand quarters of Australian wheat, January shipment, sold at 83s 3d, seven thousand of February at 335.
At the tallow auctions 681 casks were offered, and 386 sold. Fine mutton is at 29s 9d, medium 25s 6J, fine beef 265, medium 24s fid.
Napier, yesterday.
The Colonial Consignment and Distributing Company has received the following cable from London : A farther fall of l-8d in the value of North Island mutton. To-day’s quotations are : Canterbury mutton, 4-g-d; Napier, Wellington end North Island, 3sd; lamb, first quality, 6£d; beef, hinds 3 l-Bd, fores 2Jd.
