The Federal Executive considered the mail contracts, and finally decided not to accept the Oriant Company’s offer of L14O,00C! per annum. The Executive made an arrangement to adopt the poundage system, but the details were not available at a late hour, Mr Reid expressed Eurpriso that no Australian companies had tendered.
