After the trial match to-day Mr Ohlson selected 16 players for the team to represent Auckland against the Australians, One of these mill have to be put out, but 15 will be definitely picked from in 3 following :—J3. Sale, Mason, Oliff, N. B. Lusk, Scbmoll, Hemus, H. B. Lusk, Brook-Smith, Hußsey, McNeil, Haddon, D. Hay, Stemson, Slomau, S. P. Jones, j and Stephen ; emergencies, Eliott and Bobinaon, Christchurch, last night? The Now Zealand Cricket Council to’j night discussed vory fully the question tf paying players in New Zealand matches, and decided to leave matters as at present, the committee being empowered to satisfy all claims for expenses certified o by the secretaries of associations controlling claimants.
