TRINITY YOUNG MEN’S CLUB.

The opening festival of the above club, which takes the form of a swimming carnival and aquatic sports, is definitely fixed for Thursday week, February 2nd. The events, as partly set out in the advertisement, should prove of absorbing interest to all. The club authorities and members deserve the warm eupport and practical sympathy of the townspeople in their active endeavors to foster and promote the very necessary but neglected art of swimming. As on additional incentive for

swimmers to enter for the events, several valuable trophies have been presented„by friends. The trophies will be exhibited lfa town in the course of a few days. The committeo draw tho attention of intending competitors to the fact that many of the chief races are restricted to club members, but several interesting events are open. JLt is hoped that all swimmers will qualify for the olub events by becoming members. "We understand that several fine swimmers from the Coast will compete in some of the events, and there will be some exhibition of fancy swimming as well as comio items, which are sure to prove most attractive. It is hoped also that there may be some boat races included on the programme. The complete programme and all particulars will appear in our columns. Detailed instructions as to events, entrance fees, etc., may be had from any of the following committeemen, Rev. L. D. Thomas, Messrs L. Sherrill, McOiedie, H. Bright, Pufle’t, T. A.
