SOUTH DEFEATS NORTH.

Per Press Association. Christchurch, last night. The New Zealand Bowling Association’s Tournament was continued to-day in splendid weather, the doubles and singles being advanced to the semi final stage. The semi-finals and finals in the doubles, singles, and rinks will be played to-mor-row. In the rink 3 Prince (Newton) meets Harrison (Ashburton), and Taylor (Phcenix) meets Bishop (Christchurch). In the doubles Sanders and Neddon meet Brackenridge and Brackenridge, the winners playing Scoular and Bentley. In the final in the singles Harraway meets Soott and Mclntyre meets Neill. The North v. South Island match, eight rinks aside, was played this afternoon, the South winning by 164 points to 160.

GISBORNB BOWLING CLUB. There was a largo attendance at the bowling green yesterday, and a number of interesting matchen wore ployed. Afternoon tea was provided by the Misses Cnaaen. The following are the details of the afternoon's play :
