THE EXHIBITION.
o (Per Press Association.) a New Plymouth, last night. The Exhibition, which opened on Boxa ing Day, finally closed this evening, n Speeches were made by tho Mayor, Mr )- Cock, as president; Mr Lai, Goodacre, le chairman of the exeoutivo ; Mr E. Dock1. rill, treasurer ; Rangi, one of the natives )- assisting at the carnival; and Mr James ie Paul. Those were highly congratulatory. Tho attendance to-day was large, espocia ally in the evening. The total receipts so a far as made up were £4200. The number i 3 who went through the turnstiles is equivaa lent to 28,743 adults, in adaition to whom 0 there must be rockoned a large number of 0 soason ticket holders, exhibitors, etc. „ Financially it is certain the undertaking has turned out successfully.
