SALVATION ARMY.

The farewell meetings of Adjutant and Mrs Hildreth were held yesterday, and wore well attended. The Adjutant is under orders to proceed to Masterton to take charge of the work there, and is being succeeded by Captain and Mrs 31attery, from Napier, who will arrive on Saturday morning next. The Adjutant is to be tendered a farewell social to-night by the friends and soldiers of the Gisborne corps. In tho course of his remarks last night, Adjutant Hildreth warmly thanked the people of Gisborne for the kindness they had shown him duririg the time he had beon stationed in Gisborne.
