TERRIBLE SUFFERING. MEN ABOUT TO BECOME j CANNIBALS. t By, Electric Telegraph—Per Press Association— Copyright. London, Jan. 12, Tho Texas survivors drank sea water and suffered terribly. On the thirteenth day they drew lots and were about to resort to cannibalism, when they were rescued. .(Per Press Association.) Wellington, last night. Asked why water was not poured in earlier, the oaptain states the heat and smoko were too groat to petmit tho vital spot being reached, and he didn’t know exactly where the fire was spreading. Four barrels of wine were burned. The only other damago was to Bails, provisions, and stores, and pnrh-.p» a fow cases of kerosene. The -truerum' damage is confined to a f- w hr. 'earns.
