CRICKET.

COMMENT ON AUSTRALIAN TEAM

By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright London, Jan. 10. There is general satisfaction at the inclusion of Darling in the Australian cricket team. Warner considers the team very strong in batting. Jessop thinks it a fine all-round oombination. Englishmen will need all their resources to avert defeat. Melbourne, Jan 11.

Tho Age says the orieket team is absurdly handicapped by the omission of Saunders, beoause of the fear of what the English umpires may do. The Argus considers the only snrprise is the inclusion of Darling, who is not a candidate as to fitness. There can be no doubt that the bowling is the greatest weakness in tho team.
