SOUTHLAND WOOL SALES. PLEASING PROSPECTS. (Per Press Association.) Invercargill, last night. At the wool sales to-day, crossbred hoggets brought to 12£d, and 12Jd for ewes. Compared with last year’s prices crossbred super was worth 8d to 4d more, medium Id to 2£d, inferior 2£d to 3d, half-bred, good,fd to Id, half-bred, medium, l£d to 2d. Lincoln ewes brought 9£d, and hoggets 9£d, as against 6Jd last year; bellies 7Jd to 4£d, pieces B£d to 6£d. The sale went with great spirit. Some vendors, confident of even better values, withdrew their lots.
