Here ie a delightful sample of American “ Out West ’’ journalise : We desire to correct a slight error that crept into our columns last week, either through the stupidity or natural cuasednoss of one Jim Richards, whom out of the goodness of onr heart we bad taken in in his hour of need and gave a job as printer on this publication In an article announcing the appearance of a book o* poems by our esteemed townsman, Mr Rubio Crowiher, we took occasion to refer to the gentleman aa the leading literary light of Laurel Hill. Much to our regret, as we need hardly say, the word ,l weight ” was added to our remarks, making us, wholly with. out our knowledge and distinctly against our will, speak of Mr Crowiher 6? "the leading literary light weight ” of this oity. We have only to say that we have discharged the guilty party and reoommended Mr Crowtber’s poetry to all lovers of genuine literature. TVe would also say in this connection that our highlyrgifted and rapidly-rising ppet’s father, Mr G. Crowther, has just received a large supply of boots and shoes, hats, caps and-harness, whioh it would bo well to examine before buying elsewhere. Mr Crowthor is also paying the highest market price for butter . and eggs. See his ad. on page four. The Orowthera are able to trace their ancestry bapfe jn a direct lino to tee Mayfljwwi •
