The Waddy and Howoll partnership added 88 runs. Howell, though safer, mode tho usual number of uppish strokes. Waddy playod a oarefal gams. Travers was In oapital bowling f rm, and used his hood well. ExooptiDf Hill, Who was batting for an hour, and Pellew, tho visitors in their seoond essay oonld make no headway against Cotter’s d liverios. New South Wales in their first innings made 299, Doff 80, Waddy 67, Howoll 62, Oarlor 23. Cowan took one wioket for 17, Travers six for 102, Reedman three for 79. South Australia, in their seoond innings, have lost six wiokets for 107, Hill 41, Pellow (not out) 24. Cotter has the whole six wiokets to his oredit at tho cost of 47 runs.
