The Industries and Oommeroe 'Department has received a cablegram from the Agent-General, dated London, January 6th:—“ The wool market is stronger. General confidence is maintained in present prices. A general and aotive demand is expeoted at the next sales. Current Bradford quotations for tops are : Thirtysixes, low orossbreds, Is Sid per lb; forties, low orossbreds, Is 4£d; forty-fours, medium crossbreds, Is 4£d; fifties, halfbreds, la 7jd ; fifty-sixes, quarter-breds, Is 9d; merinoes, 2s o|d-’’
