OBITUARY.

.(Par- Press Association.’) Dunedin, last night. Mr Bendix Hallenstein, sen., a partner in the firm of Hallenstein Bros., of the New Zealand Clothing Faotory, and chairman of directors of the Drapery Importing Company, died to-day. Deceased, who came from Victoria in the days of tbe gold rash, after being in buFJ.ness at Liver., oargill and Queenstown came to Dunedin and started the New Zealand Clothing Factory, and was, with his brothers, largely connected with numerous enterprises. Deceased, who was abont 70 years of age, had been for some years German eonsnl here. • ~’■■■■
