EAST—FREEMAN.

A pretty wedding took place at Wealey Chtirch yesterday afternoon, the contracting parties being Miss Emma Freeman and Mr 0. 3'. East. A iarge number witnessed the ceremony, which was performed by the Bev. G. Hounsell. Too choir sang The Voice that Breathed o’er Eden," Mr Nicholas accompanying with instrumental music. The bride, carrying a lovely shower bouquet, looked charming in a dress of creme silk, which with a tasteful trimming of silk insertion, tuoks, and rushing, displayed the dressmaker s art. There were four bridesmaids —Miss Yeomen, Miss East-(cousin ot the bridegroom), Miss Dorothy Bpence, ana. Miss Phyllis Ball (cousin of the bride). The first two wore cream figured muslin, and the others cream Bilk, and each received from the bridegroom a gold brooch. The bridegroom was attended by Mi: Alfred East as best man and Mr Beginald Fiesse aa groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was held at Mr James East’s, at which the relatives and a few friends of the contracting parties attended. The usual healths were proposed, andanen joy able r.ftornoon was spent. The happy conple, who were the recipients of a number of valaaoie and suitable presents, left Gisborne for Waikaremoana, via Morere, carrying with them the good wishes of their many • friends. .. ■* ■
