Tha Auckland v. Wellington cricket match concluded to-day, Wellington winning by 90 runs. In the second innings Wellington made 118, tho chief scorers being : 0, Hickson 42 and G. Gore 37Auckland, in the second innings, had to make 191 to wio, but only succeeded in scoring 101, Stemson making 18 and Slowman 19 runs.

Per Press Association. Christchurch, yesterday. Tho cricket match Canterbury v. Otago was continued in beautiful weather and on a good wicket. Tho homo team, with five wickots down for 65, resumed its second innings. Garrard (19) was caught out at mid-off with the scoro unaltered. Kinvig joined Frankish, but the total only reached 70 before both left. The former was caught at mid-off by Graham off Fisher, and Frankish was caught in tho slips off Sbackloek. Orchard and Weston made a good stand, and the total was taken to 130 before tho latter was bowled by Fisher for 21. Lawronce, who followed, and Orchard made a good stand for tho lust wicket, and the innings closed for 157, Orchard being bowled by Fisher for 50; Lawronce was not out with 8; extras 15.

Fisher took six wickots for 47 runs, Shackloclc four for 50, Downes none for 18, and Austin none fur IS. Wanting 325 to win, Otago began their second innings with Graham and Goddes, but at 23 the latter was caught by Sims off Frankish beforo ho had scored. Howden, next on tho list, was missed by Sinas first ball. The pair then played out time uutil luncheon, tho score being 27 for one wicket.

CHRISTCHURCH, last night. match concluded to-day. Canterbury’s second innings produced 157, leaving Otago 321 to win. An .angry scene ensued,, ending in a large number rushing the ground. One drew ,stumps, and another kicked a halo in the wicket. The police cleared the crowd, and arrested the holekieker on a charge of wanton damage. Only a lew minutes were devoted to play, Trumble adding five, and McLeod four to the score. Heavy rain commenced, and play was abandoned lor the day—7 wickets 287.,

ENGLISHMEN v. BENDIGO

The innings was then declared closed, tho chief scorors being : Knight 78, Rhodes (not out) 44. Tho Bendigo team in their second innings lost five wickets for 57. Rain interfered with the play, and the report of the match is incomplete.
