Tho Board of Governors of Canterbury College decided to-day to bring tho Boys’ High Sobool under eluuso 4 of the Secondary Education Act, devoting one-fifth of the net income from endowments to free places. Tiie sum will bo about £520, giving 52 free places, and about this number of boys are alroady receiving free education, therefore there will be practically no change. The Girls’ High School is still under consideration.
