TRAINING NOTES. i(Per Press Association.) Auckland, last night. There was a large attendance at Ellerslie this morning. Treadmill, assisted by Quarryman and Brave Heart, traversed a mile 'and n-quarter in 2.2 oulside tlio trestles, and went on two furlongs further, slowing down badly. The first circuit was the fastest of the morning, occupying 2.5. •Tewollery did a mile and a-half pleasingly with an assistant in 2.52. Idas, assisted by Lingard for four furlongs, Putty for nine, and Nutria over the last seven furlongs, ran a mile and three-quarters outside the hurdles in 3.20, shaping woll. Romeo ran a mile and a quarter in 2.204. General Symcmls easily defeated Val Rosa over a miio and a had on the ten in 2.43. Hinetaura went much more freely than Melodeon over a mile and a-quarter on tho grass in 2.24, making friends. Wairiki traversed a circuit on the tan, going at top, the last seven furlongs iu 1.344, Cygnofc easily beating him in tho last six. Nellie and Mars did tho last mile of the mile and three furlongs’ course on the tan in 1.45 short. Golden Vein, Stronghold, Windwhistle, Dolores, Petrovna, Silkworm, Gladsome. S'arsboot, Delaniu, Marshal Soult, Hohoro, Kilmarnock, Te Arolio, Nouette, and Or-mgs and Blue did fast work over from five to fix furlongs. Shnttara is reported to be doing very well. Pipi and Agitator jumped well. Treadmill and Wnniki ere easier in the bettiDg for the Auckland Cup ; Hinetaura is huideniDg.
