Friday, the 25th December, and Ist 'January will be observed as close holidays. All mails lor despatch during those days will bo made up at 7.30 p.m. on the evening preceding-

On Saturday, the 26th inst. (Boxing Day), the Office will be open in all branches except Money Order and Savings Bank, from 9 to 10 a.m., and mails w 11 be made up as usual until 8 a.m.

On Boxing Day letter-carriers will make one complete delivery, commencing at 8 a.m.

On Thursday preceding the Holidays, the wicket in Box Lobby will be open from 7 to 8 p.m. for delivery of letters only.

TELEGRAPH OFFICE. On Christmas Day, this Office will be open from 9.30 to 10 a.m., : and from 5 to 5.30 p.m. On Boxing Day and New Year’s Day, the hours will be from 9 a.m. to -1 p.m., and 7 p.m. to midnight, rrelcgrams to be handed in at delivery wicket in Privato Box lobby. TELEPHONE EXCHANGE.

Will be open on Christmas Day from 9to 10 a.m. On Boxing Day and New Year’s Day, the usual hours of attendance wfll be observed. Country Offices in Gisborne district —On Christmas and New Year’s days these Offices will observe a close holiday ; but on Boxing Day they will be open in all branches, except Money Order and Savings’ Bank, from 9 to 10 a.m. W. 11.
