By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, Dee. 16. Wool, greasy, sold at 121 d, scoured 20Jd. Melbourne, Dee. 16.’ The last wool salo of the season had an animated and vigorous tendency in seller’ favor, but there was no quotable change in prices* Scoured sold to 20£d. Per Press Association.
Napier, last night. At the first wool sale of the season about 6000 bales were catalogued, and notwithstanding the adverse news from Home and southern centres the bidding was spirited, and full London equivalents were obtained for all lines where the brokers were not restricted by reserves. As compared with the opening sale of last season bright, clean, well-grown crossbred showed an advance of lid to 2d, diDgy and long stamed Id to l-Jd, bellies and pieces to Id. The following was the range of prices during the morning :—Bright, clean crossbred 6Jd to 7ld, dingy and long-stained 5d to 6d, dingy fine crossbred 6J to 7d, bellies and pieces 4d to sd, locks 2d to 3d
