Mr W. G. Ivonrick, of Auckland, has boen appointed Stipendiary Magistrate in succession to Mr Hawkins.
The Wellington Licensing Committeo to-day decided not to grant any additional wholesale licenses in Wellington, holding that the requirements of the city were satisfied by tdose already in existence.
