"(Special to Times.) Auckland, Saturday. Although rain foil during the night, the tracks were in splendid order for fast work this morning. Promotion was first out, and ran five furlongs at a good sound pace. Kamo performed a similar task, moving very well. Cyrus, Torchon, and Ropa wore associated over once around, finishing together. Golden Bose hopped off at the mile and a half post, and ran the full distance on the grass, assisted by Dolores over the last seven furlongs. Golden Boso galloped in good style. Putty, with Numa as a companion, ran a mile and five furlongs, Conclusion joining in over the last five, and leading Putty homo; Numa was close up. Jewellery was sent a miie and three-quarters, Khama going with her the last round ; Jewellery tired badly at tho finish. Avalancho ran a fast sevon furlongs, Muthema assisting the last four. Francos Lovejoy, Lihgard, and Haydn were together over once around, Lingard being in front at the finish. Needle and Mars ran a mile and five furlongs on' the tan, and were joined by Hipstono tho lost round, the trio finishing together. Scotty, alone, ran a fast six furlong?. General Symons was out, but only trotted and cantered.
Pipi went twice around at a good halfpace. Petrovna, after cantering once around, spurted homo tho last three furlongs. Good useful work was also done by the following horses :—Vul Bosa, Lady Hune, Newtown, Waikato, Inspiration, Dolania, Sonoma, Bonhour, Marine, Waipuna, Bambler, Bufus, Cressy, Up-to-Dato, Bobs, Cavalry, Marshal Soult, Bomolo, Tauhei, Middy, Lady Lottie, Mars, Coronation, Girton Girl, Irish, Solitary, Jack Brown, and Saatonia. After breakfastJHohora galloped six furlongs, Sold assisting ovor the last four; Hoboro is very well. Kilmarnock, alone, ran five furlongs. Gladstone and Tapuwai moved nicely over four furlongs, while hafl to three-quarter paco work was apportion to the following : —Kedoemed, Kyra, Inspiration, Mauku, Ngataro, Midcyr, Maroon and Gold, Native Bose, Cuiragno, : Cannongate, Elgin, Eureka, Whawhai, 1 Golden Sands, Grenade, Te Aroha, Veldt, Gordon Bouge, Uranus, Ottoman, Idasa, Lady Bobs, Love Link, Treshatn, Portland 1 Lass, Daffodil, Sally Horner, The Doctor, 1 and Pamperia. 3 Tho following prices were on offer last night in connection with the Auckland ; Cup:-
