ADDINGTON MARKET.
PBICES A SHADE EASIER.

At the Addington saleyards to-day there was a fair entry of stock and the usnal attendance of buyers. I Fat cattle.—Tho yarding numbered 192, and comprised a very fair quality. There was an excellent sale, though prices were a Bhade easier than the previous week’s market. Thirty eight North Island steers realised from £lO to £ll 12s 6d. Six Bteers forwarded by D. Cameron (Methven) sold at from £ll 10s to £l2 10s, and seven from Mr A. Storey (Southbridge) from £8 2s 6d to £9 10s. Other steers brought from £7 10s to £lO ss. Heifers sold at £6 to £8 2s 6d, and cows £5 IQs to £9 12s 6d. The price of beef ruled from 23s to 26s per lOQlb. Sheep. —The entry was smaller than usual, and prices for prime quality was firm at recent rates, but for unfinished sorts a further drop was shown. The range of prices was : Wethers 16s lOd to 20s, ewes 14s to 20s. Morino wethers sold from 12s 2d to 14s.
Fat lambs : Tho yarding numbered over 600, and included a good proportion of well-grown capitally conditioned animals. The market was again slightly easy, though prices on the whole were still above the freezing buyers' limits. In consequence they operated only to a limited extent. The range of prioes were : Tegs 17s to 18s, freezing 15s to 15s 9d, best butohers 14s to 17s 2d, lighter sortß 11s to 13s 6d.
Store sheep : The yarding was again a small one, and the capital grazing prospects resulted in the lot being cleared readily at an advance on recent rates. Following were the principal sales : Ewes and lambs (all counted) 114 at 13s Id, 75 at 11s Hd, 305 at 11s 3d, ewes and wethers 151 at 16s 2d, 32 at 14s lid, 16 at 14s 9d, 71 ewes (4 and 6-tooth) at 16s 9d.
Pigs : There was a fair entry, and the fat pens again met with a slack demand. Prices showed a further weakening, Baeoners brought from 35s to 50s, equal to from 3Jd to 4d per lb ; porkers, 28s to 38s, equal to from to 4£d per lb ; stores were in moderate supply, but competition ryqq not nearly so keen as last tyeek, The prioes realised were : Tmrge jjQs to 275, weaners (small stores) 10s fid to 16s 6d,
