FATAL ACCIDENT.

(Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, last night.

At the imjuest, touching the death of Charles IJxe Warren, the evidence showed that deceased was working on the lioonya, which was being shifted by means of a hawser attached to a winch,' the latter being at a standstill. The hawser caught in one of the plates, when it suddenly got clear, and struck deceased across the body, and he was knocked down, He was assisted up, and worked for some time afterwards.

The jury returned a verdict that deceased died frqni shock caused by a blow on the abdomen, no blame being attachable to anyone.
