OTAGO SHOW.
(Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, last night
Tho Otago Show continued to-day in fine weather. Thero was a large attendance. The judging of horses was the main business. \V. Gardner’s Cedric the Saxon won the class for all aged draught entires. F. McCallum won in three-year-olds, J. Patrick in two-year-olds. A. Thompson, of Outram, won the carriage stallion prize, with Experience. Obligado had a walk-ovor in the thoroughbred section. Tho Hon. T- Duncan attended tho Show to-day.
Later.—People’s Day at the A. and P. Society’s Show was a great success. The weather was beautifully fine, though, as is often the case at this season of the year, the wind from the South Pacific was rather cold. The attendance must have been a record, being put down by good judges at 16,000. Thero was a fine display of draught horses, especially of young stock. The championship for entires was awarded to Gardiner's Cedric the Saxon, while R. Charter’s Kate Ostane was the champion mare. The working horse class was good, while carriage horses were a stroDg section. Blood stock was poorly represented, Obligato having no opposition for sires. The driving and jumping contests excited a good deal of interest, as also did the wood-cboppiDg competition. The takings amounted to’£sßs. This does not include the grandstand.
