SENSATIONAL ACCIDENT.

Per Press Association. Timuru, last night. A sensational accident occurred at the Ternuka Cycling Sports to day. Clark (Christchurch) sot out, on a hip. motor cycle to do an exhibition mile. He rode a quarter of a mile iu 21sec, then lost control, and went over tbe banked track at tho south end. Iu the fall tho machine struck a post, and Clark was thrown sevoral yards. He fell on his face and chest. He was picked up semi-conscious, bleeding very freely. ’ Medical aid was quickly to hand. No bones were found to be broken, but Clark lost a lot a blood, and was suffering greatly from shock. It is hardly known yet what the real injuries are, but ho was ablo before being taken to Ternuka to speak freely to the doctor. Clark was ridiug about 50 miles an hour when the cycle run off. The machine was buckled and was almost in pieces.
