A LEAKING SHIP,

l(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, last night,

The master of the steamer Monovvvai, which arrived to-day from Sydney, reports that on Sunday morning, when 240 miles east of Sydney he spoke the ship Tliornliebank, of Glasgow, 144 days out from Pliiladelphia for Wellington* The vessel signalled that she had sprung a leak, and that she was making for Sydney The captain asked to he reported to the Wellington agents. The Thornliebank lias 60,000 eases kerosene and 10,000 cases benzine aboard. She is a steel ship of 2005 tons. Her arrival at Sydney has not yet been reported.
