An advance copy of tho -index Faume Novte Zealandiie, compiled by several scientific workers in New Zr-aland, and edited by Captain Hutton, has been received iii Christchurch. It contains a list of allj auiimls inhabiting New Zealand and neighboring seas. The book is being published in London by the Canterbury Philosophical Institute, assisted by the Otago Institute.
