LONDON WOOL SALES.

London, Nov. 24. Tho wool sales opeued brisk at par to a 10 per cent decline. Sydney, Nov. 25. At the wool sales greasy sold to 18fJ, scoured 19:1. Melbourne. Nov. 25 At the wool sales a large aud aUraa-ive catalogue was offered. Competition was animated. Prices were unchanged Scoumd merino sold as IS.td.
(Per Press Association.) Wellington, last ’fight. The Department of Industries and Commerce has received a report and special'.os of pulp produced, and finished paper manufactured from a trial shipment of white pine timber, sent from the West Coast to England for the purpose of bcfiug tested for paper making. The finished paper is considered e.u excellent slnet, although a little dark in color. Tiio report says teat dark spots appeared through a great deal of the pulp, and could not be accounted for.
