Tho Otago Synod was opened in the Trinity Methodist Church by the Rev. Fairclough, F.R.A.R. Tho Rev. T. G. Brooko was oledtod secretary. The morning and afternoon were devoted to conversation on Church work. Papers were read by Rev. D. McNicol on “ Evangelism and its Methods,” the Rev. C. H. Standage on “ Why are Conversions Harder to Obtain than Formerly,” Mr A. Hooper on “ How to Make our Week Night Services and Meeting Effective.”
