LADY RANFURLY’S DEPARTURE.

(Per Press Association.) Wellington, last night. Lady Ranfurly and her two daughters left by the lonic yesterday afternoon. Most of tho business places in town closed their doors between 3.80 and 5 o clock, and bunting flew from tho shipping and other places in tho city, and made the scone as gay as possible. . Under a wet sky, with a drizzling rain falling, the embarkation of the Government House party took place at 4 o’clock from tho railway wharf, the Government steamer Janie Soddon conveying the Countess, His Excellency the Governor, and their family to tho big liner waiting in the stream, while tho Hinemoa took away tho Premier, members of tho Ministry, and a large party. Tho lonic was accompanied as far as the Hcuds by the Hinemoa and some of tho harbour steamers.
