LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL
Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, last night.; Tho Council met at 2.30. A lengthy debalo took placo on tho second reading of tho Referendum Bill, most of the speakers opposing the measure.
COUNCIL THROWS OUT RE FERENDUM BILL.
The Council resumed at 7 30. After a longthy debato the Referendum Bill was thrown out by 26 to 2.
