JAPAN’S POSITION,

At a banquet hore, attended by 250 of the most educated section of the people, it was decided to petition the Mikado to take prompt and decisive action to enforce the Manchurian settlement. The Prime Minister of Japan, in receiving an anti-Russian League, urged tho necessity of unity and solidarity amongst the Japanese to faee the existing situation, whioh was most critical.
