During the sales 8574 ‘bales of La Plata wools were offered, and 3693 sold. Sydney, Nov. 11. At the wool sales heavy catalogues were submitted. Compared with the closing sales of last week prices declined 2b to 74 per cent. Best grades were least affected. Mediums werejs per cent, lower. Inferiors suffered the heaviest fall. Nearly half the catalogue was withdrawn. Greasy reached scoured 20^d. Melbourne, Nov. 11. i At the wcol sales competition was spirited. Prices wero on a level with those of last week.
WELLINGTON, last night. The Department of Industries and Commerce has received tho following cablegram from the Agent-Generul, dated London, 10th: — ll The imports of River Plate mutton, lamb and butter into tho United Kingdom for last month (October) were as follows; Mutton, 172,525 carcases, of which 42,334 were landed at London, 120,902 at Liverpool, and 9290 at Cardiff; lamb, 2500 carcases, of which 1000 were landed at London, and 1500 at Liverpool; butter, 2178 cwt, landed at London ami Liverpool.’’
