At tho inquest touching tho death of Alexander Davis, who fell off the train at Port Chambers on tho night of the 9th, tho evidence went to show that tho carriage being of a new type, with two steps, instead of one, deceased may have been misled in stepping aside while standing on the platform. Tho jury returned a verdict of accidental death, no blame being attachable to anyono. At the inquest touching the death of Henry Newey, who died from injuries received by being knocked down by a trap in Georgo street on Saturday night, the jury returned a verdict of death as the result of a buggy accident, no blame being attachable to any person. The evidence was contradictory as to the pace at whioh the trap was driven, women describing it as terrible, while experts gave it as six or seven miles an hour. <■ ■ • *
