GISBORNE RIFLE CADETS
The Gisborne Rifle Cadets fired a match on the Kaiti range yesterday afternoon. The first prize, Adoz photographs presented by Mr B. S. Cox, was won by Bugler Graham with a very good score, 33, Lieut. Doyle coming second with 32, and Privato Graham 32 third. Considering the small amount of practice they get, the lads shaped very well. Lieut. Lewi9 has presented a handsomo silver medal to the corps for the aggregate score of three matches out of five. There is still cne match to be fired. So far the competition is vory closo, there beiDg only a few points between the first five. On Monday the corps fire a champion match for a belt and medal. The medal has been presented by Mr R. Miller, who has taken a lively interest in the corps since its formation. So as to give those who are going to the Friendly Societies’ Bports a chance to catch the first train, shooting will start at 5 a.m. The following are the ten highest scores at five hundred yards, the first three taking prizes Bugler Graham 33 Lieut.
