There was a large gathering at the Chord Hall this evening, when Mr A. T. Adams was presented with a handsome illuminated address and a cheque for a substantial sum in recognition of his services as counsel for tho temperance party, having appeared for them in tho Magistrate’s, Supreme, and Appeal epurts. The address was signed by the Rev. W. A. Sinclair (ex-president of the Council of Churches), Mr D. C. Cameron (Chief Templar 1.0.G.T.), and Dr. Delatour (president of the United Temperance Reform Council).
