Tho Council of tho New’ Zealand Amateur Athletic Association decided to-night to exempt old boys’ races at school sports from the operation of registration rules. The gross receipts from tho cross country championship was 1231, and the expenditure was estimated at about £46. In reference to tho Pioneor Club’s intention to call a meeting at which a motion would bo tabled that a committee should be appointed to govern amateur cycling in tho colony, it was agreed that the club would exceed its powers if they carried the proposed motion, as there was a reciprocal agreement between the Leaguo of New Zealand Wheelmen and tbo Athiotie Association for the control of amateur cyoling.
