Tho prioes ranged from £8 10s to L 22 10s por toot. I'ho frontage and gross proceeds were £4974. Sotno lots were passed in. Recently the laud ami a butlanig were offered to the City Council at 19 por -cent, less than the cost price, but the offer was not aecopted.

Too sum required is £55,999, and the proposal to raise it was carried by 486 votes to 43. The lino will tap a largo suburban district, which at present is fed by coaches alone.
