SUPPOSED TICKET-OF-LEAVE MEN.

The steamer Cromarty, bound from Oxean Island to Melbourne, picked up a boat containing seven Frenchmen, believed to be ticket-of-leave mon, about 350 miles north of New Caledonia. The men were fully armed. They had suffered great privations, and were much exhausted. They stated they had been fishing off the Coast and were blown out to sea. They had beon in the boat 13 days. They had a small quantity of provisions, chiefly flour, which was damaged by salt water. The Cromarty reported the incident to the Heads and carried the men on to Melbourne.
