BETTING SHOPS.
Per Press Association. Dunodin, last night,
Proceedings at the Police Court in connection with a raid recently made by tbe police on alleged betting shops were concluded to-day. Benjamin Curtis, Lewis Curtis, and Peter Grant were committed for trial. Win. Alexander was fined JES and costs for being on tbe promises without lawful excuse. Charges against H. Goodman and Delahuuty of being on the premises were dismissed.
