A meeting of the Nubaka branch of the Farmers’ Union .was held in the Morere schoolroom on Saturday, October 10th, Mr A. Proudlock presiding, After considerable discussion on various local requirements, it was decided on the motion of Mr Cooper, seconded by, Mr G. Coop, that the Waikokopu Harbor Board be requested to erect a goods-shed at Waikokopu,; and a further motion was carried that the cost of erecting! the building must not exceed £250. On the motion of Mr Cooper, seconded by* Mr J. Joblin, it was decided that the Government be requested to connect Tarewa with Murewai by .telephone, via Wharerata.- With regard to the proposaL to have literature disseminated with the view, of enlightening the members of the .Union on matters of general interest, it was decided that the Farmers Advocate fully, meets the requirements of farmers in regard .to literature.
