F.J.A. has been scratched for the Caulfield Cup, while Bernedale, Durbar, and Stambroso arc regarded as unlikely starters. Stambrose is terribly sore. At Flemington to-day tho work was chiefly confined to sprints at Caulfield. Rhapsody ran over Martyr in a mile gallop covered in 1.47, the first six furlongs taking 1.18. Marvel Loch swept over ten furlongs in 2.17, the first mile in 1.47 j. Betting was slack owing to the calling of the card tonight.
