CLUB LICENSES.
A PROHIBITION PROTEST.
By, Telegraph—Press Association— Wellington, last night. A deputation from the Ashburton NoLicense League waitod on Sir J. G. Ward to poiut out the uuomaly of liquor being sold in clubs in districts where no license was carried, and to ask Government to introduce legislation this session .to bring clubs into line with hotels. Sir J. G. Ward said tho ruattor was now under the consideration of the Government.
