CHRISTCHURCH SHOW.

Per Press Association

Christchurch, last night,

At a ppeting of the general committee of the Agricultural apd Pastoral Association to-day reference was made to Mr Davey’s remarks in Parliament regarding the competition of the Sunnyside' Asylum cattle at the summer shows. The opinion was expressed that if the asylum had to withdraw the exhibits there would be a large reduction in the exhibits of cattle. The following motion was carried : “ That it is not in the interests of this Association that tho exhibits of any public institution be prohibited from competiting at our shows," The general committee of the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association has decided to allow the proposed winter show to lapse, as only the Bangiora -Association had agreed to join in the project. Had one more Association agreed to collaborate the show would have been held.
