ADDINGTON MARKET.

(Per Press Association.) Christchurch, last night.

There were average yardings at Addington to-day, and the usual attendance of buyers, Pat cattle : The yarding was smaller than of late, only 134 coming forward. The sale was somewhat irregular, and prices generally on a par with those ruling last week. Steers brought £1 to 1114 15s, heifers £6 to H 8 15s, cows J 65 15s to £9 15s, beef 283 to 33s per lOOlbs. Fat sheep : The yarding was larger than usual, and the entry comprised a few pens of very fat wethers. The sale was somewhat irregular, and prices all round were distinctly easier than in the previous week. Extra prime half-bred and, crossbred wotbers brought 25s to 325, prime 22s 6d to 24s 6d, others 20s 5d to 223, prime ewes 20s to 235, others 14a lOd to 19s 3d, prime merino wethers 20s to 22s Gd, lighter 16 3d to 19s 6d, shorn crossbred wethers 16s to 19s 3d, shorn crossbred owes 15s to 21s.

Fat lambs : The entry only totalled 50, but included somo very forward quality, for which butchers competed keenly. Prices ranged from 15s to 255. Store sheep : The entry totalled 1541, principally wethers and ewes with lambs. There was a good demand, and only one or two lots passed unsold. Wethers brought 18s Id to 19s lid, Merinos 16s Id, ewes and lamb 3 (all counted) 9s 7d to 10s lOd, hoggets 12s to 17s lOd. Pigs : There was a larger entry than usual, and tho market was easier for all classes. Baconers brought 553 to 66a, equal to per lb ; porkers 35s to 445, equal to sjd to per lb.
